If you were born to write,
you just know it. Writing comes to you as easily as breathing. It is
a passion that drives your entire being.
Ask any successful writer - they will confirm
that inspiration makes writing intoxicating. But there is also
perspiration. But that's OK because the satisfaction and the rewards
are simply unmatched by any other "highs".
Can anyone write? The plain truth is ... of
course. If you know your language ... any language ... and you can
hold conversations, you can write.
If you
belong to the professions - doctors, lawyers, teachers, academics,
nursing, or you have a passionate hobby - like stamp collecting,
looking after dogs, in fact, any subject under the Sun or beyond
that - you can covert your knowledge into a manuscript, and
get it published ... if you
know how to ...
If you don't, don't sweat.
There is ample help available and distance just doesn't matter any
more. The beauty of being a writer is that you can work from
anywhere ... anytime. That's why my friends envy me. I can take off
whenever I like and wherever I like. I work when I want and I have
fun whether I am writing (see, not working.) or playing.
What are the options for new
writers?
Attend writing classes
Join writers' circles near you. If there isn't
one - start one.
Being a budding writer almost invariably
means that you have read a ton of books. Get some good books on
writing - check out your library or bookshop.
If you want to write your book in record time,
and yes almost anyone can if they really want to, get an
accomplished writing mentor and personal coach. It can cost less than attending classes
- there are very high
prospects of success when you get a dedicated
mentor.
A good mentor not only ensures that you get that
manuscript on paper or on your computer, but he or she also provides you with guidance
on getting published. That is the whole point of living to
write, and writing to live.

There is a huge difference
between those who become successful writers and earn money from their
writing than those who simply dream.
-
The successful
ones take active steps
to make their dreams come true.
-
They start learning from the best
and they keep on until they succeed.
-
They invest their
time and they attend writing schools or take distance courses to improve
their writing skills, to learn marketing skills and to start earning
money.
-
The dreamers keep on dreaming
- they don't even bother taking
the first step, they don't invest any time or money to learn the
writer's trade, they don't get published, and they never make any money.
Don't dream, change your
destiny today - take the first step and join the elite band of people
world wide who earn a living from their writing. |
